When Will We Learn?

Seriously, this isn’t our first time traveling. We leave the good ol’ US of A in 3 days and we forgot to order foreign currency. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem. In Asia it was easy to use an ATM once and live off the cash for a long time. In Australia and New Zealand, we used our credit cards for everything. This time, we plan to buy a used campervan in England and we will need a bigger stack of cash than an ATM is going to give us. We’re currently in Jersey City and it’s Sunday. We really hope we can get to a bank on Monday morning and order a decent amount of Pounds and have it ready before we fly out on Tuesday evening.

I blame Asia for our lack of preparedness. There, it was so easy to book travel and tours just a day or two beforehand. I guess we’ll need to step up our game in Iceland and Europe.
