Orlando, FL mini vacation
I was fortunate enough to be named a 2017 Service Star for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. That award came with a paid vacation to Orlando, FL with a guest. Leah and I returned yesterday from a 4 day stay at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort. It was lavish; we were lazy.
Wells Fargo really did a great job showing their appreciation. They covered every part of the trip to make it fun, easy, and extremely enjoyable. The only thing they forgot was a Sunscreen Application Coordinator. I'm still looking a little lobster-like from our pool session yesterday.
Each day, we were fed breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Drinks were always free between 6pm and midnight. I think I'm ready to take a break from Stella Artois... It's complicated.
We spent a lot of time lounging in our hotel room, trying to finish reading The Maze Runner series (so good), and ordering occasional room service. We did make it out to go for a run in the rain, a quick HIIT workout in the hotel gym, and also a little kayak tour to see manatees in the Indian River. The kayaking was cut short due to a storm rolling in, but it was still a blast.
Now we're back in Phoenix and have less than two months until we leave here for good. It's becoming very bittersweet. Of course we're beyond excited to have a life of freedom and travel, but we have so much to do in preparation and we know we're going to miss these Phoenix friends like crazy.
We've got big hash weekends coming up next. Phoenix Red Dress Run and Rocky Point, Mexico are our next adventures.
