Earn your beer

Hot Pocket, BDM, and I are headed to Las Vegas for a hash event called the On - Onniversary Magic Mystery Bus. The only thing we know about the this event is that we have to get on a bus at 9am Saturday and we won’t come back until Sunday evening. There will be lots of beer and a few different trails to run. We have no idea where the bus is going or where we are staying the night. Perfect!

Before the shenanigans are to begin, we must earn our beers! We stopped at the Grand Canyon for a little trail running. We dropped BDM at the South Kaibab trailhead and then drove ourselves to the Bright Angel trailhead. BDM was going to do a loop of 18 miles while HP and I did an out and back of 10 miles. Our plan to meet at Indian Gardens worked perfectly thanks to BDM being a freak of an ultra running beast.

We had great weather and clear views of the Canyon. We were a few weeks late on the prime flower blooming but everything was still very colorful. It was a perfect start to a wild weekend! Now it’s time to party!
